In 1885, several immigrant vessels bound for Brisbane disembarked passengers in Maryborough. The ships were Bulimba, Duke of Argyll, Duke of Buccleuch, Duke of Sutherland, Duke of Westminster, Gulf of Carpentaria, Roma and Waroonga.

The Maryborough Family Heritage Institute Inc. will be commemorating some of these voyages with book releases in the future. The books will include stories about some of the Maryborough passengers. Please contact us for further information if you are interested in any of these voyages.
